Jim: I added a custom roof using some Ugears leftover materials and clear tape.
Andrea from Long Beach, CA
Joe from Pine Beach, NJ: How do you improve upon perfection?  You could say my contribution is the blood and sweat I put into building the car, but the joys of discovery, accomplishment, and success far, far outweigh that. But, you asked for a customized car, so I added a little something to top it off.  I’ll let you find it in my photos."
Brady from The Villages, FL: The hood and fenders have been smoothed.  The dash features real walnut veneer and colored knobs.  The seats have been upholstered in black "pleather".  Headlight and taillights have had "bulbs" installed.  The Interior has been stained and painted, exterior features a two-tone paint job.   The radiator, bumpers, and windshield have been painted silver.  The wheels feature silver spokes and black tires.
Kayla from Rocklin, CA decorated it with blue and silver
Tom from Columbia, MD: The photo represents the four models I've built during the Corona Virus social distancing.  The truck is under construction waiting for a missing part, I am currently working on the Bike VM-02
Michael from Adoura Hills, CA
Yoda from Astoria, NY: Made a license plate that says “Va Va Vroom.” Our cat’s name is Virginia, and sometimes we call her that nickname and we thought it would fit the car nicely. As you can see from the picture, she thought so too!
Meredith from Douglas, MA: All pieces were sanded with, variously, 240, 400, 600, or 800-grit sandpaper, including rounding the tips of assembly pegs. I then stained certain exterior pieces with hickory-toned stain, as this hue was closest to the tone of the laser-cut edges. I gave these pieces, along with some of the unstained exterior pieces, two coats of a gloss clear coat followed by a light sanding with 2000-grit sandpaper. This required careful trimming and shaping of the pegs for the final exterior body pieces as these could not be trimmed and sanded after assembly without damaging the finish. After final assembly, I gave the exterior a coat with floor polish to bring up the shine on the body.
John from San Pedro, CA: Treated all the wood so the paint didn’t cause expansion, paint, and custom tires. Minor aesthetic adjustments to the model.
